I'm taking a new approach to sharing my music. Along with released tracks that you can purchase directly from me through the site's store, I'll be making a lot of demo music and "in the works" pieces freely available on the website. I've spent the better part of the last decade refining my studio setup, and while some pieces have stayed constant, I've made a few key upgrades over the years that really dial in the workflow. Most notably, I added the Curuxa Customs desk a couple of years ago, which transformed the space into a much more efficient, sound-friendly environment. Below is the rundown of my current gear for 2023—my trusted companions for writing, recording, and producing. A lot of this equipment, like my 1983 Fender Stratocaster Fullerton '62 Reissue and Marshall amps, have been with me for ages, delivering that signature tone I love, while newer additions, like the Burl B2 Bomber ADC, help capture everything with pristine clarity.

My 1983 Fiesta Red Fender Stratocaster: A Journey from Stock to Super-Strat

Back in December of 1984, I got my hands on a brand-new Fender American Vintage '62 Stratocaster, built at the legendary Fullerton plant. It was the Fiesta Red version—a color made famous by the great Hank Marvin. But before I could even enjoy playing it, things got interesting. The Strat had been shipped up to Mosjøen in the freezing cold, sitting in a freight rail wagon for days. Naturally, the moment we cracked open the case, the finish started crackling. In those first few years, large pieces of it began to flake off, revealing a surprise: underneath the Fiesta Red finish was a Sunburst layer! As it turns out, Fender had a practice in the '60s of overpainting Sunburst guitars that didn’t meet cosmetic standards with solid finishes, and they carried this tradition into the early '80s reissues.

I've been digging through my old 4-track Tascam recordings from the 80s and 90s, and I've picked out a few tracks that I’ll be doing over. It’s been quite the trip down memory lane, and I’m ready to breathe new life into these old songs.

Anyone who's ever tried to capture lightning knows it can be tricky. Last night, we had a massive lightning storm over Oslo, and tricky it got. As the amateur I am, I spent a good half-hour just watching the inferno before realizing I should probably grab my camera and try to capture a strike. Eh!

Alright, here’s the scoop: I recently wrapped up a pretty wild project. I had the chance to collaborate with the legend himself, Tore Ylwizaker, to create the theme music for a brand-new show on Norway’s very own ZTV—and let me tell you, it’s as loud and heavy as you’d expect.

Edge TV Theme Project

This playlist features the theme music composed for Edge TV, a show on the Norwegian TV channel ZTV, focusing on urban youth culture and extreme sports. Collaborating with Tore Ylwizaker, who mixed and mastered the track, we created a bold industrial, metal, and hardcore piece that reflects the fast-paced, rebellious spirit of the show. The music was specifically composed for television, marking my first experience in the world of TV soundtracks.
